MY STORY AS CAPTAIN

It was one late evening, after loading my cargo at the usual port in West Indies.

A sail to England, to trade therein, was what I navigated on the old map with my small compass.

Because  I had a hope if I sail to England today, west Africa will be my next trip the next day.

Off I go, from the coast of sands
Into the middle of the sea. As quick as possible, I’d hoped my journey England will be safe and smooth.

Getting on my ship, I took control of its steering wheels, and felt confident as a captain.

Up we go, we go up, yes! Up we go! Some of my crew happily sang, merrily! At their different posts in my ship because the wind was so chilly and cold and the sun was bright.

So they only had  little task at hands.

After sailing deep into belly of Atlantics. Things became strange and the weather started to change.

What the hell? I asked myself.
This is not good, my inner voice bursted out.

Find a close port to stop as quick as possible, another voice inside me whispered But when I looked around
I saw most of my men in great fear and yearning at my face unexpectations.

Come here, you coward!! I yelled at one.
I said come here!!  to take the the steering wheel from me.

He’d run quickly as instructed but muttered to me, “sir It seem today is not good”

Ijust looked at him in the face and reasoned, “boy everything gonna be okay, alright?

So I quickly dashed into the cabin to encourage my other men to stay firm and strong.

Immediately I turned on the emergency light and get hold of radio phone on my desk, to make a report.

“alpha team! Alpha team!, ship 543 on board, we need your assistance immediately,

Then I turn on the red light that hummed “kilo kilo kilo kilo” tones.
So we continued our sail, after putting on safety toolkits
